Why a VW campervan

Since as long as I can remember I have always wanted a camper van, mobile home or caravan. I think I got this from my auntie Phemia who always had a caravan and used to travel all over the place including Europe. This was way back in the 60s and I thought this was such a wonderful way to holiday. I thought she was such an adventurer. It is only in the past few years that I have been able to afford such a luxury. I had always looked at caravans and campers I was I bit daunted by towing a van so decided a camper it would be. I got a loan from the bank (pre credit crunch) Off I went obviously being sensible took a lot of time looking into the subject of buying campervans, finding out what to look for etc. Got the loan on the Friday bot the first van I saw on the Sunday. Very sensible NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was now the proud owner of a VW T25 campervan a Holdsworth variety, looked beautiful inside and was assured that it was solid outside. Mmmmmmmmm.

As most people know a VW camper van has to have a name. After lots of soul searching it was decided that the van was in fact a boy obvious from the picture. The name we came up with was Bert. He had a unique registration number that included the numbers 666. So he was sometimes called the devils van and the van of Satan especially when he broke down. I must say if I knew then what I know now I would have never gone near Bert with a barge pole.
